A must-listen from Peter H. Diamandis's #Moonshots podcast (link).

I've spent 30 years in the Oracle foodchain. My bet with Advizant is that Oracle's moat is decades of enterprise data that requires AI-enablement. Admittedly, this is a fight for optimism on my behalf; to that end, I need more of Diamandis's #positivity in my life ๐Ÿ˜‡ That said, the general vibe of the episode is a tension between techno-optimism and honest acknowledgment that job displacement is imminent and brutal.

Also of note ... Alex Wissner-Gross discusses that Eon Systems PBC has created the first multi-behavior whole-brain upload of a fruit fly's 50 million neural connections. Next target: mice, then humans. "Years, not decades." If we're uploading minds, the question of what a mind actually is becomes urgent. That's where philosopher-theologians such as David Bentley Hart become surprisingly relevant.
