PREDICTION: "Ship it" will be Oxford University Press's word of 2026 as building with #AI permeates our culture.
While software developers inherently understand its meaning, "Ship it" will signal more broadly to stop deliberating and commit to a course of action with a bias toward decisiveness over perfection.
Grandma's been in the ICU for three weeks, the family's gathered in the hallway, and Uncle Terry just looks at everyone and says, "Ship it." Everyone knows what he means and the funeral is scheduled for Friday.
